My mother remembers the ice box from when she was a little girl. That's one bit of history that doesn't hold any nostalgia for me -- I'll keep my side-by-side refrigerator freezer as I don't think Grandma's ice box would keep my Weight Watchers dinners frozen. This charm is very similar to the Ice Tongs charm in My Mother's Charms (Pat's Bracelet, p. 36). Marked 14K. 14.3mm (0.56 in.) long. Weight 0.7 grams. |
